In the early days of Southwestern Ohio, a group of brave pioneers founded a village that they called "Woodbourne".

Those early settlers knew that their survival depended on basic human values such as integrity, hard work, and community cooperation. They applied those values, along with creative thinking, to help them overcome the difficult challenges they faced every day.

In the mid-1970s, Fran Swift, a successful real estate broker who had read about the village, selected the name Woodbourne for her new real estate company. Fran believed that the philosophy of those early Woodbourne pioneers was the best foundation for a company that would serve the real estate needs of people in the Dayton area.
